Well, it's official, summer is over...although I suppose it can't be official until September 21 rolls around. But, school has started. And it isn't all that bad...we have some cool teachers. My science teacher is the best teacher. ever. She's funny, super-nice, and is always teasing us. In a cool way. My language teacher is a strong believer in making writing fun, and no homework on weekends. She also proclaimed that she has a love for Guitar Hero, and might show up to school wearing fuzzy slippers. My social studies teacher is a HUGE Jets fan. Which disappoints me. And I honestly can hardly understand him when he talks. I think his mouth goes too fast and his brain tells him to slow down, causing a speech impediment that annoys the crap outta me. He's also new, making him likely to be one of those teachers that will not let you get away with anything for fear of being labeled as "that new teacher" who let's everything by. The one good thing about him, however, is that he lets us pick our seats. Thank God for that small gesture. Moving on to math...we have a new math teacher, who claims "the state will come after her if she teaches us anything extra." huh? I do recall being told last year that I would be in advanced math this year...so much for that. Oh, and she gave us homework already. Our assignment? to write a letter to ourselves about our goals and fears for this year. fun. And the worst of it all? I sit near someone who just won't shut up. He sings. all the time. I suppose it's not that bad, and sometimes can be fun...we got into an awesome rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody before lunch!...but if I have to hear "oompa-loompa, doopidy doo" one more time I'll strangle myself.
I have most classes with my friends though, which is good. I just can't believe that my wake up call has moved from 12:00 to 6:15 in so little time. Ah, well. It was bound to happen sooner or later...but why can't it be later?
